The stuff of fairytales: flower crown, full skirt, fur and rings

I know everybody is inspired by somebody, inspiration is what drives us all. In life inspirational people are called heroes, in fashion they are called style icons.

Is not that you want to dress exactly like them, it’s just that you like what you see, something about their style is different, original and fresh and gives you all sort of ideas.

So when the guys over at DivaHair asked me to be part of this competition where a couple of Romanian fashion bloggers have to post an outfit inspired by a fashion icon of their choosing, I said why not?

I guess my outfit was unconsciously inspired by Ulyana Sergeenko as I didn’t even know about the contest when I took the photos.
The reason I love this Russian photographer/socialite turned fashion designer is that she doesn’t look like anybody else except maybe some past royalty who had to travel back in time an update her look a little bit. Her outfits are out of this world feminine, it’s all about maxi dress or swing skirts, defined waists, majestic coats, high heels and a lot of unusual hair accessories, scarves, tiaras and hats.

My get up may not be something girls born in the last three decades would wear, but it’s totally me – romanesque over the top daywear with lots of jewelry :))).
I just have to stop reading fantasy novels which are basically fairytales for adults or I might as well say my inspiration for the outfit is a mix of Jon Snow and Ulyana Sergeenko. OMG!!!! I’m the fashion love child of these two!!!!
